The City of Redmond is seeking Redmond high school students interested in participating in the Parks and Trails Commission.
The commission advises the mayor and City Council on parks, trails and recreation in Redmond.
The commission would like to hear the youth perspective to answer important questions such as the kinds of sports facilities needed in the city’s parks and in a new community center, the types of events and activities teens and their friends enjoy in our parks and where there needs to be more trail connections throughout the city.
This is an opportunity for students to learn more about local government, public policy, parks and recreation, public art and construction projects. This opportunity also offers students the chance to participate in city events and meet more people in the community.
