Rain delay: Redmond leads 5-0, softball game with Battle Ground to resume on Tuesday

With Redmond leading 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning, umpires called a rain delay on Saturday in a 4A winner-to-state game at Battle Ground. The game will resume at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the same location.

With Redmond leading 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning, umpires called a rain delay on Saturday in a 4A winner-to-state game at Battle Ground. The game will resume at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the same location.

When the game resumes, Battle Ground will have the bases loaded with no outs and an 0-1 count.

Redmond led 1-0 heading into the top of the fifth inning when Kaija Gibson hammered a grand slam homer. Lindsay Tsujikawa and Keona Tibbs had singles and Haley Hanson got on board with a bunt to set up the big blast.
