Redmond-based Friends of Youth (FOY) has received a grant of $20,000 from The Seattle Foundation that will provide general operating support.

“We are thrilled to be the recipient of such a generous gift from The Seattle Foundation,” said FOY president and chief executive officer Joan Campbell. “The foundation’s grant will be put to work immediately to support our homeless and therapeutic programs and services for Eastside youth and young adults who are especially challenged in these difficult times. We work to help our participants not only survive, but also thrive.”

FOY is a nonprofit agency currently celebrating its sixtieth year. Founded in 1951, FOY provides a broad, comprehensive spectrum of shelter, housing, counseling and prevention services for young people and their families in King and Snohomish Counties in Washington state.
