Redmond High School’s Keimig and Dumire selected as students of the month

Redmond High School (RHS) students Jasmyne Keimig and Bailey Dumire have been named the Rotary Club of Redmond Students of the Month for May.

Redmond High School (RHS) students Jasmyne Keimig and Bailey Dumire have been named the Rotary Club of Redmond Students of the Month for May.

Keimig, this month’s senior recipient, is co-president of the RHS Film Club and is active in track. She is also president of a youth advocacy group and works to provide dinners for homeless people and battered women. She is an honors student and plans to major in political science and economics at Wellesley College.

Dumire, the junior student of the month, is a member of the National Honor Society and has been active with the Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee. Her interests include playing piano, running, traveling and writing. She also loves classical British literature. Dumire volunteers with an elementary school to support their community events and as a tutor. She is considering colleges locally, nationally and internationally. She is exploring a number of careers including writing and medicine.

Redmond Rotary is a nonprofit service organization and a member of Rotary International. Rotary International is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service and help to build goodwill and peace in the world. There are approximately 1.2 million Rotarians who are members of more than 31,000 Rotary clubs in more than 165 countries.

Student of the Month is just one of several ways that Redmond Rotary supports vocational development of young people.
