The next Redmond Senior Center (RSC) First Friday Coffee Chat on May 6 will feature City of Redmond Mayor John Marchione.
The chat will be from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Fireplace Lounge of RSC, 8703 160th Ave. N.E.
Designed as an informal discussion and question and answer session, Marchione will update his vision for a connected, vibrant and fiscally responsible Redmond. His discussion points center around his vision for strong neighborhoods and businesses, along with a healthy environment.
Following the Coffee Chat, Mayor Marchione will attend a reception at 11 a.m. in the lobby of RSC to recognize and honor the Older American Month Honorees for 2011.
Upcoming guests scheduled for First Friday Coffee Chats through August are Don Cairns, transportation services manager and Bruce Newman, traffic operations engineer for June 3; and Kim Dietz, senior planner focusing on neighborhoods and Redmond history for August 5. There will be no chat for the month of July.
Registration for First Friday Coffee Chats is not necessary. For more information on the program, call (425) 556-2314. Complementary refreshments provided by Aegis of Redmond.
