Open government community forum slated for May 30 at Cascade Club

On May 30, the Washington Coalition for Open Government (WCOG) and the League of Women Voters of King County will present a free community forum on open government issues at the Cascade Club at 23225 N.E. Greens Crossing Rd. in Redmond from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

On May 30, the Washington Coalition for Open Government (WCOG) and the League of Women Voters of King County will present a free community forum on open government issues at the Cascade Club at 23225 N.E. Greens Crossing Rd. in Redmond from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The event will be in the Crystal Room and is one of a series of educational events that WCOG has held in various cities around Washington since its inception in 2002.

The forum will feature a moderated panel discussion with a question-and-answer session involving the audience. Panelists will include WCOG president and Kirkland City Council Member Toby Nixon, state archivist Jerry Handfield, Clark, Raymond and Co. C.P.A. Ed Clark and Assistant State Attorney General Tim Ford.

Greg Overstreet of Overstreet Law Firm will moderate the forum. This forum is free and open to all, and questions and comments from the audience are encouraged.
