City welcomes artist Tony Angell at exhibition opening Nov. 13

The Redmond Arts Commission presents an art instillation with local master artist Tony Angell, at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13 at Redmond City Hall, 15670 NE 85th St.

The 2009-10 Redmond Outdoor Sculpture exhibition features eight works by Angell, on the City Hall campus.

Angell is a sculptor and publisher of many books, principally about the birds of the Northwest. He is known nationally for his sculptures of birds and wildlife and best known in Redmond for his sculpture called Wisdom Seekers which is in front of the Redmond Regional Library, 15990 NE 85th St.

The Redmond Outdoor Sculpture (ROS) Exhibition is in its 11th year. The exhibition is being held in conjunction with a new publication by Angell, “Puget Sound Through an Artist’s Eye” (University of Washington Press).
