Three students from Redmond receive National Merit Scholarships

The National Merit Scholarship Foundation today announced the names of three distinguished high school students from Redmond who have won $2,500 National Merit Scholarships.

The students are Rachel L. Ballantyne of Redmond High School, Stefan A. Mellem of Redmond High School and Adriana Cherskov who attends Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bellevue.

They were selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors and may use their scholarship awards at any regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
