Most of the people against the new health care law are not violent, and many aren’t even Republican. Additionally, there are many recent examples of Democrats committing violent acts against Republicans.
There is a way to calm the rising conflict: offer more choices. When I want tea and you want coffee, and we can each get what we want, we have no conflict. But when government limits our choices, saying that everyone has to drink the same warm beverage, there will be great conflict about which warm beverage is best.
