Foster kids in King County felt the warmth of the holiday season when residents of Fairwinds Redmond retirement community recently donated nearly 2,000 pairs of pajamas to the Treehouse Wearhouse.
The store serves all of the foster kids in King County by providing them access to shop for free essentials such as clothing, school supplies, books, toys and more.
In a collaborative effort with other One Eighty/Leisure Care retirement communities, 1,907 pairs of pajamas were delivered and sorted by seniors and Treehouse staff for kids and families to shop the next day.
With the holiday season here, the security and warmth of a simple pair of pajamas can make a significant impact on foster kids who don’t know where they will be next. In its 10th year, the Pajama Party has collected more than 10,500 pajamas.
