Redmond’s Premiere Performance Company receives numerous awards at dance competition

Last weekend, the Premiere Performance Company of Redmond competed in the NRG Dance Competition Event in Tacoma and came home with a number of awards.

Last weekend, the Premiere Performance Company of Redmond competed in the NRG Dance Competition Event in Tacoma and came home with a number of awards.

Premiere received a total of nine first placements, three second placements and two third placements.

The dance company also received four overall first place trophies:

• “La Valse De Jeune Files” by Carolyn Farrar
• “Groove Control” by Josh Scribner
• Senior “Reverb” by Melissa Farrar
• Senior solo Vikas Arun”

Spiderbite” by Josh Scribner received the Judges Choice Award in the junior division and more than $2,700 cash prizes.Premiere dancer Dakota Harwood received the competition’s top honor and was nominated as an NRG prodigy.

Additionally, dancers Vikas Arun, Sara Brannman, Kendall Boston and Morgan Marlow all received scholarships.
