The Redmond Arts Commission presents an exhibit of artwork by Holly Campbell at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center at 16600 N.E. 80th St.

The exhibit will run from Oct. 26 to Dec. 26 and feature selections from two bodies of work exploring ideas surrounding family.

A Seattle artist, Campbell’s accomplishments include a Masters of fine arts from Washington State University, an extensive background in ceramics and involvement in a number of projects in the fields of drawing and sculpture. Her work presented in this show focuses on two recent series of works: “Self-Portraits as Ancestral Karma” and “Family Portraits.”

Both series work together to explore the ideas of family.

Upon reflecting on her work, Campbell said, “Family is something that has always been quite abstract to me. It has mostly felt like something I once had and misplaced, leaving impressions that I have chosen to explore through this body of work.”

The public is invited to an artist reception with the artist on Nov. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m.
