Northeast Union Hill Road in unincorporated King County outside of Redmond will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 15 to 4 a.m. Monday, June 18.

The full road closure is part of the first phase of the county’s Northeast Novelty Hill Road project and will be between 192nd and 205th avenues northeast. According to the county website, this will “allow the contractor to fill and pave the roadway, and to shift traffic to the north half of Evan’s Creek Bridge.”

Eastbound traffic will be detoured onto 185th Avenue Northeast. The website states that traffic will travel south to Northeast Redmond Fall City Road and be directed to the left to 204th Place Northeast/208th Avenue Northeast.

Westbound traffic will be directed to go either left or right at the intersection of 208th Avenue Northeast to either Northeast Novelty Hill Road to the north or Northeast Redmond Fall City Road to the south, according to the website.

Traffic on Northeast 95th Street/196th Avenue Northeast will be detoured at Perrigo Park. The county website states that drivers will have to turn around at the park.

Traffic on 196th Avenue Northeast south of Northeast Union Hill Road will be directed to go south to Northeast Redmond Fall City Road and told to follow the detour.

There will be electronic message boards at both ends of Northeast Union Hill Road advising motorists of the closure as well as flaggers posted on each leg of the intersection to help direct traffic for local access only.
