The City of Redmond will celebrate National Trails Day 2010 with special events at the Redmond Watershed Preserve, 21760 Novelty Hill Rd., from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 5.

The celebration is based on three ways to enjoy trails, through hiking, biking or horse riding.

Eastside Audubon will offer a bird-watching walk at 7:30 a.m., followed by a guided three-mile walk led by a Parks and Trails commissioner at 9:30 a.m.

There will be easy, guided nature walks for families with children, including some that are stroller-friendly.

Visitors can also mountain bike a five-mile route with easy to moderate conditions, led by a Parks and Trails commissioner.

Horse riders may participate in the Poker Prize Trot, riding eight miles through the woods and meadow. The first rider begins at 10 a.m. with the last rider out at 11 a.m.
